I've lived a long time. I can assure you that premium costs and copays have been on the rise all my adult life and will continue to do so until the system is fixed. I can also tell you that ALL insurance--yes, private, too--depends on a pool of people of all ages and degrees of health contributing to it to be successful. I suppose that one would have to have experience in social work or disability adjudication to have a full insight into the dire situations, the strife, the tragedy, and the simple loss to the productivity of our society when people are not able to afford healthcare. Simple illnesses that could be controlled or cured advance to devastating, debilitating conditions. What could have been manageable and allow a person to remain productive becomes disabling and a person who could have been salvaged becomes disabled and dependent. Covering preexisting conditions but allowing an insurance company to price people out of affordable coverage is cruel. I know firsthand the outcome of people, hardworking and responsible, losing a job BECAUSE of sickness, thereby losing insurance coverage, being unable to regain coverage, and losing everything and becoming ever sicker in the process. Our healthcare system is a corporate, for profit setup. It is a terrible system that costs the most and has the poorest outcomes. If you have to visit a doctor regularly these days for any condition, you well know that it is set up for seeing the most people, investing the least amount of time on them, and prescribing drugs instead of educating and working with patients to get off medications and reverse conditions. Chronic illnesses are a boon to this medical system--especially Big Pharma--and nobody really cares about curing anything. There's a big WINK-WINK going on in the background. Canada has a universal healthcare system, and they invest a great deal of their budget in research and their time educating patients and stressing prevention and lifestyle changes. They, like every other system like theirs, spend less and have much better outcomes. As a society, we have to decide when we're going to pay to keep us healthy. We can pay on the side of health and productivity or we can pay on the side of dependence. We have to decide whether we are content in staying sick and poorly served in order to keep corporations flourishing. But first we have to understand and acknowledge a basic tenet of humanity: that healthcare is a human right, not an opportunity for profit. Not to mention that our whole system of food production and processing is set up to undermine health. So we're going to make people sick with a polluted environment and a slowly poisoning food supply and then abandon them? No. None of this picture is acceptable.

Прочитала только что статью , что 19 конгрессменов-республиканцев , которые голосовали за Трампкеар 2 , подкупили разные медицинские и страховые компании..например, тому сенатору , который говорил, что люди, которые ведут хорошую жизнь болеть не будут, недосчитавший сверхприбылей Блю КРос дал 15 тыс и другие постарались.... Они там в правительстве, как всегда, решают вопросы в пользу тех, кто больше платит...

Слушайте, я тут глянула фоту радуюшегося Трампа и стояших за ним дедов, и вспомнила как кто-то назвал метко "вековой лес"
Им просто надо дожить уже. Эта компашка белых старых пердунов грымз, как-будто сошедших с экранов "старых добрых фильмов" это просто должно уйти.
